2010 Eastern Training Schools

The training schools scheduled for EASTERN are as follows:

SYRACUSE - January 16 & 17 - location Fayetteville, NY, start time 9AM - contact - Fern Nelkin

DOWNSTATE - January 23 & 24 - location - USTA BJK National Tennis Center - contact Eileen Leonard

JANUARY 23 is for officials with 3 or more years of experience 8AM-4PM.
The following sessions will be held: USTA Officials, ITA & Referee

JANUARY 24 is for those with less than 3 years of experience 8AM-2PM.
The following sessions will be held: USTA Officials & ITA

ROCHESTER - Sunday, January 31 - location - MidTown Athletic Club, 200 East Highland Drive, Rochester, NY (585-461-2300). Time: 9AM-5PM - contact: Bill George

All tests are open book and can be found on the USTA website and are based on the 2009 Friend at Court. If you plan to attend the ITA school and/or Referee school you must also take those tests in addition to the USTA Officials test. You must bring the completed answer sheet(s) to the training school, no one will be permitted to take any tests at the school.

For those officials attending the Sunday training school please take the USTA Officials test. You already took the provisional test, therefore, there is no need for you to take it again.

If you are unable to attend a school in the Eastern Section you can check on Nucula or the USTA website to see where the other schools are being held throughout the country. You can also check with the various Sectional Chairs to see if they are planning any sectional schools which are not listed on the USTA website.

REMINDER - You must contact the coordinator for any school you wish to attend prior to attending the class.
